I am a visual artist who uses a variety of media to explore feminist themes and the self. At the age of 23 I suffered a traumatic facial
injury that led to a lifelong study of the self in art. Currently, life as an intersectional feminist and woman is the focus and impetus for
the majority of my art. My current Goddess Series examines feminist spirituality, and my work with my Feminist Agenda series examines the
everyday femme experience. I am inspired by the art of pre-history and antiquity, pop culture, nature and the cosmos, the found object,
feminist art and riot grrl. My influences include Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Katharine Hamnett, Greer Lankton, Betye Saar, Joan Semmel,
Linder Sterling, and Mary Beth Edelson.
